Welcome to the month of romantic love. Saint Valentines Day falls on Thursday 14th of February. The moon will be waxing in Aries which is an indication that love can connect strongly through the thought processes of the mind. It is a powerful time to send loving thoughts to loved ones at a distance, to write a poem to your beloved, to send emails and sms's conveying messages of adoration. As most people will be at work on this day it makes sense, although the night is long and a home cooked valentines meal ending with a chocolate dessert would be a perfect way to celebrate.

Everyone's life is in a constant state of flux depending on your karmic cycle. Some might be in the throes of new romance, others might be happily married, some might be all alone, learning to love themselves, others might be in pain after a break up, but there is an opportunity to give love always, to create a loving atmosphere. Love need not be confined to the traditional image of a couple, it can be shared with nature, with animals, with an elderly person or with a child or a homeless person.

You can plan to let love be a verb on this day and actively demonstrate how love can come alive through your willpower and actions. If you are alone, plan an outing with others who are alone, do something beautiful like listen to an uplifting live musical performance, or take a friend's children on a valentine picnic. If you are in a relationship you can have a candlelit dinner and renew your vows. People also like to exchange gifts; for something different try the gift website recommended below. You can also show love to yourself by buying yourself something special like a massage or flowers and chocolates.

If you are longing for a new love, this is a good time to Feng Shui the south west corner of your bedroom to attract love into your life. Simply clean the corner, spray it with a sweet smelling aroma oil, (musk or rose are the fragrances of romance) place a red cloth or scarf in the corner. Place objects on the cloth that symbolize the kind of love you want in your life. For example, one client put a tambourine and bells and a flute there and attracted a musician into her life, another client put large art prints of romantic images and attracted a man who was her romantic ideal. Another client put a hammer and a screwdriver and pieces of yellow wood and attracted a carpenter who could fix everything in her home and give her lots of affection.

ASTROLOGICAL OUTLOOK FOR FEBRUARY:

The 25th of February sees the full moon in Virgo. As Virgo can be harshly critical it’s a good time to let go of criticizing yourself and others. Just decide to dump it. Try the non-judgemental approach this year instead and you will be amazed at what previously hidden treasure chests will open for you. This full moon is a good time to consider what actually sustains you. And it’s not anything that can turn to dust or ashes, it’s not anything you can see or buy; it’s what makes you tick inside, your essence, your soul and spirit. Once you have recognized your treasure commit yourself to nourish it. For me it’s being in nature and listening to live music, playing creatively with children, and working on pushing my spiritual boundaries. I'm probably only doing 50 percent of what I could do, so I will have to step up doing what nourishes my soul.

Don’t worry if valentines day doesn't turn out perfectly.......there is a much more romantic aspect happening on a planetary level on the 28th of February when Venus and Neptune meet in Pisces - this is a truly wonderful evening to enjoy romance, glamour and cupid's magic ....now that you know, you can plan ahead.

November and December are very important months to give yourself a daily morning meditation ritual to strengthen your faith and your patience

Why? Because it is a hugely combustible and intense time with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and Sagittarius plus two eclipses.

Oh dear, want to climb back under the duvet for the rest of the month? Don’t stress too much. Stay focused and positive, you can overcome these minor irritations like computer and communication delays and glitches. What did we do before we had all this modern technology? Yes, do some of that stuff instead: sit in the sun, take a walk, or chat to friends. Oops, there might be conflict or overblown emotions, but knowing this stay calm, be nice, this transit too shall pass. On December the 14th get ready for takeoff as things get a lot better. There could be a stock exchange collapse, computers crashing, etc. but on the deeper level a great time to get to the core of who you are and what you really want out of life. This is a good time to finish off projects, although not a good time to start new ones. A good time to rekindle old friendships (old loves might come back) but not a good time to sign contracts, or if you must, read the fine print ten times.

On October 05th Saturn starts transiting in Scorpio until end December 2014.

What does this mean? Letting go of something in order for a new and positive transformation in your life. With Saturn it is not often a voluntary letting ago, as Saturn is known as the grim reaper - something that no longer serves you is bound to be cut out of your life for the greater spiritual good. It is how you handle it that counts. If you are prepared with wisdom to handle this transit you will come out shining with a new awareness, if not you will suffer and languish until you have learnt the lesson as Saturn is also the stern teacher.

In Scorpio which is about power, your shadow self, the underworld the warrior and penetrating the heart of things, how it affects you will depend upon where Saturn sits in your chart and where you have the Scorpio in your chart. For example, if you have Scorpio or Saturn in any of the relationship houses (7th for marriage, 5th for love affairs,3rd for siblings, 11th for community, organizations and groups, 6th for your employees servants/labourours ) then that is where your letting go and transformation takes place, as you no longer will you be able to control in this area. You will need to surrender and transform but it will be immensely healing to you if you do.

If its in your 2nd house of material goods you may be forced to let go of something material or let go of the security of a salary for your own business.

However see Scorpio as the magician and Saturn as the confined space in which the magician can focus and create magic… then you will succeed. Just try not to resist letting go of that which doesn’t serve you any more to make way for positive transformation. As Scorpio is both the scorpion and the eagle it is about transforming the desire body of the scorpion and giving it wings to fly and becoming an eagle, thus soaring to greater heights.
